One Adventure After The Other

In His Glory

I can't believe it has been a year since my last update!  My, how time flies when you're having fun.

I continue to be part of the Levy Transformation Equipping Group.  In order to be aware of what is happening in Levy, we took the core group of TEG and formed three small groups.  "Tangible Kingdom" is the group I am in. We meet every Sunday.  We catch up on the happenings in Levy, fellowship, break bread, and give praise to our heavenly Father.  It is a great feeling to be part of this adventure God has set us on!
In addition to Seth and Mandy McGuire (they are members of TEG) living in our Ministry House on Parker Street, we now have a family living there also.  They have been there several months. Mom and Dad have found jobs, the children are attending school, and a few Sundays ago, Dad accepted Christ as his Savior!  Great things are happening in this ministry!

 2014 Mission Trip
There may be a mission trip to the Dominican Republic sometime next year!  I am so excited about this. I really don't know if we will be going back to Constanza or to Jarabacoa.  I will keep you informed.

My Dear Companion, Zachary
It has been 1 1/2 years since my Zachary passed away.  I miss him so much.  I still feel at times he is right next to me.  I just have that spiritual feeling.  He was my baby and I will never forget his unconditional love and caring way.  I miss and love you my dear Zachary.

Family and Friends

I started water aerobics about four months ago.  I am happy to say that it has helped my blood sugar.  I am now seeing quite a bit low readings and will be able to get off the insulin in a few months.  I need to lose the weight I have gained from using the insulin.  I just can't believe how well I am doing!  I work out the minimum of three days a week.  The class is 45 minutes but I stay after the class, play water volley ball, work out further, and swim a little.  I usually stay around 2 - 2 1/2 hours.  I love it.

My friend Angie's sister has introduced me to "juicing"!  I juice twice a day.  It is very healthy and that is helping my sugar also.  Now I have to worry about it being low!!  I make a different juice for breakfast and lunch.  A sample of a great tasting one is:  celery, cucumber, carrots, romaine lettuce, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, tomato, lime, apple, orange, peach, and strawberries! Yummy.  Thank you Angie for my early birthday gift, the juicer!!!!
My brother Gil and my sister-in-law Prissy are doing fine.  As you know Prissy is a realtor and now my brother is!  Keep it in the family!

My sister Lucia and her family still live in North Carolina.  She just got over surgery on her hand and also knee surgery.  She is doing great!

My sister Rosemary and her family live in Slidell (right outside of New Orleans).  Kevin is Creole and when it comes to cooking, he is number one!

My niece Becky and Derek have been married a little over a year now.  They have sold their house in Conway and are now living in the house that Becky lived in when she was a child.  It is the family rental home but Becky was lucky to be able to move in it.  They are renovating it while they are living there.  It's funny because their house is right next door to where my friend Angie lives.  So when I visit Angie or Becky, I can visit the other one also - two birds with one stone! Juniper and Elliot are doing great in school and they are ready for school to start again.  I am so proud of them.

My niece Jenny and her family still live in Colorado as well as my niece Angie and Brandon and their two fur babies!  It is so neat, they are not too far from their mom and Lou!

My nephew Paul and his family live in Baltimore and they have two daughters.

My family is growing!

I have a great family and I love them all dearly!

I have not been able to visit my family as I planned to. I will be visiting Rosa and her family around the end of August.  I hope to visit the rest of my family soon.  This is the time I wish I had a job where I traveled a lot and had frequent flyers!

My friend Angie's dog Jack passed away in December.  He was very ill. He suffered from pancreatitis , a growth around his kidney and a few other health problems.  For about a month before his passing we would drive to the Memphis Animal Hospital that specialized in his illness.  We had hope that he would get better but so much was going on with him. They had him on so many IV's and three different heart medicines. He was not getting better.  The doctors advised her he would not make it through surgery that day.  After this Angie brought him back and he spent his last day with her and his brother and sister (Gabriel and Jill).  It was a special night for all of them. I was so scared thinking he would pass on through the night but he layed close to Angie.  The next day, the vet came to her house and he peacefully assisted Jack in his passing.

I admire Angie for her strength - bringing Jack home to spend his last day with his family.  Jack was a great loving dog.  He is missed very much by all of us and of course, Gabriel and Jill.

Hat Looming
I will be starting to loom hats again.  I loom Razorback hats and sell quite a few. If you are interested in seeing or even wanting to buy one, just go to the looming page and see the prices.

My Manuscripts
Zach the Cat
As I mentioned before, I have found an illustrator and that he is a member of my church.  He has been very busy and has not been able to work on it yet.  I have finished the manuscript and when he has completed the illustrations, I will be able to try and publish!

Walking the Healing Path
I have finished the manuscript but have slacked on looking for a publishing company.  I am looking for a traditional publishing company.  These are ones that you do not have to pay to have it published.  You really have to have a good manuscript for one of these traditionals to publish it.  Please pray that I get lucky here!
